Answering a job offer

Updated 8 October 2026

Where to find your offer

When an employer sends an offer, you're notified and an offer card appears in your conversation. The salary is never included in the notification itself. Open the offer from your application in My applications, or from your tracking link (on a new phone, after a code check).

What the offer shows

  • the position, place and type of work;
  • monthly pay broken down: basic, allowances, festival bonuses, provident fund and other benefits;
  • start date, probation, notice, working hours and leave;
  • any documents the employer attached;
  • how it compares with the job's advertised range;
  • the date you need to answer by, and how many days are left.

Your answer

  • Accept: confirm formally. Your application moves to Hired and the employer is told.
  • Ask for changes: write a note about what you'd like changed. The employer may send a revised offer; the earlier one is kept and marked as replaced.
  • Decline: you may add a reason, but you don't have to.

Deadlines

Offers expire after their respond-by date, and an expired offer can't be accepted. If you need more time, ask for changes before the deadline and say so in your note.

Good to know

  • The employer can withdraw an offer before you answer, and you'll be told.
  • Real employers never ask you to pay to receive or accept an offer. If anyone does, report it.
