Staying safe in messages

Updated 8 October 2026

Talking to employers inside JobGlobal is the safest way to do it. Here's how we protect you, and how you can protect yourself.

What we check

Every message is checked before you see it, for signs such as:

  • asking for fees or money;
  • pressure to move to another app;
  • asking for your NID, a one-time code (OTP), PIN or password;
  • pretending to be JobGlobal staff;
  • the same text sent to many candidates at once.

What you may see

  • Held messages: a message asking for money from a less-checked company is held for our trust team. You never see it.
  • Warnings: from other companies, a message like this is shown with a warning in Bangla and English under it, with a one-tap Report. Only you see the warning.

Your safety rules

  • Never share a one-time code (OTP) sent to your phone, with anyone. JobGlobal staff will never ask for your password or a code.
  • Never pay to apply, interview or get an offer.
  • Keep talking on JobGlobal until you've had an interview.
  • Share your phone and email only when you're ready. See messaging with employers.

If something feels wrong

  • Report the message or the whole conversation. The employer won't know who reported it.
  • Block the employer. Only you can lift a block.
  • Read the five signs of a scam.

When several reports come in about one employer, their new messages are held for review.
