How can we help?
Safety & scams
How we check employers, spotting fake jobs, reporting, and what happens after you report.
- Five signs of a job scamWatch for: requests for money such as processing, training or uniform fees by bKash or Nagad; a salary that's too good to be true; pressure to move to Telegram, IMO or personal WhatsApp before an interview; no verification level; and requests for your NID, bank details or a code. If you see one, don't pay and report it.
- How we verify employersEvery company shows a verification level. T0 is not verified and can only draft. T1 confirmed a business email or phone and sent a trade licence photo. T2 also gave its TIN/BIN and passed a call or video check. T3 has been T2 for 90+ days, replies to 70%+ of applicants and has no upheld reports.
- How to report a job or companyUse Report on the job page or the company page, choose a reason and add details. Anyone can report, even without an account. The company never sees who reported it, and our trust team reviews reports within 24 hours.
- Staying safe in messagesWe check every message from employers before you see it. Messages that ask for money may be held so you never see them, or shown with a warning. Never share a one-time code (OTP), password or PIN, and use Report on any message that worries you.
- What happens after you reportOur trust team reviews every report. When a live job gets three reports, it's held automatically until the team decides. A job that asks candidates for money can be taken down and the company moved back to T0. The company never learns who reported it.
