What happens after you report
Updated 8 October 2026
Thank you for reporting. Here's what happens next.
1. It reaches our trust team
Every report goes to a person on our trust team, usually reviewed within 24 hours. They see the job, the company's history and any other reports. The company never sees who reported it.
2. Three reports hold a job
When a live job has three open reports, it's held automatically: it disappears from the site until the trust team decides.
3. The team decides
The trust team either upholds the report or dismisses it, and records a note either way. They can:
- release the job if nothing is wrong;
- ask the company for changes, keeping the job hidden until they're made;
- take the job down, so it leaves the site straight away.
Serious cases
If a report that a job asks for money or is a fake job or company is upheld, the company is moved back to T0 and its jobs are taken down. A company can also be suspended, which needs two members of our team to agree.
Can the company appeal?
Yes, once per decision. A different trust-team member reviews it. See appeals.
Will I hear back?
We may not be able to share the outcome of each report with you, but every report is reviewed and counts.
