Why was my job held?

Updated 8 October 2026

Every job is checked when it's published, to keep candidates safe. A held job isn't visible to the public. Your job page shows the reason in plain words.

Common reasons

  • Asks candidates for money, such as processing, training or uniform fees.
  • Personal contact only, for example just a personal mobile number or messaging account instead of applying on JobGlobal.
  • Salary far above the usual range for the role.
  • Copies a removed post.
  • A new employer posting many jobs at once.
  • Scam wording, in English, Bangla or Banglish.
  • Three or more reports from people who saw the job.

What happens next

Only our trust team can release a held job. They will:

  • release it, so it goes live;
  • ask for changes: you get a message in Bangla and English. Edit and save the job and it goes back for review; or
  • take it down, if it breaks our rules.

If a job asks candidates for money, the company can also be moved back to T0.

How to avoid holds

  • Never ask candidates for any payment.
  • Let candidates apply on JobGlobal rather than only through a personal number.
  • Give a realistic salary range.
  • Write your own job text.
